This micro-cluster establishes a research consortium between the structure of Interdisciplinary Research on Economic and Social Behaviour (ERI-CES) of the Universitat de Valencia, and the Group of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (GTI-IA) of the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia, led by professor Vicente J. Botti Navarro.
The objective of this consortium is to develop a scientific and technological partnership that promotes the integration of artificial intelligence studies and social sciences, and their application on advances in intelligent systems for social simulation. The micro-cluster promotes scientific progress in the field of 'economic and social computing' sectors of particular interest in business and distributed computing. It aims to investigate in the area of 'Intelligent Social Computing', which refers to the field of informatics related to research methods and techniques that enable the development of computer systems that show social behavior (multi-agent systems, automatic negotiation, argumentation, trust and reputation, virtual organizations), and the implementation of conventions and social contexts through computational models where people interact.
