SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC COMPUTING

This micro-cluster establishes a research consortium between the structure of Interdisciplinary Research on Economic and Social Behaviour (ERI-CES) of the Universitat de Valencia, and the Group of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (GTI-IA) of the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia, led by professor Vicente J. Botti Navarro.

The objective of this consortium is to develop a scientific and technological partnership that promotes the integration of artificial intelligence studies and social sciences, and their application on advances in intelligent systems for social simulation. The micro-cluster promotes scientific progress in the field of 'economic and social computing' sectors of particular interest in business and distributed computing. It aims to investigate in the area of 'Intelligent ​​Social Computing', which refers to the field of informatics related to research methods and techniques that enable the development of computer systems that show social behavior (multi-agent systems, automatic negotiation, argumentation, trust and reputation, virtual organizations), and the implementation of conventions and social contexts through computational models where people interact.
